Procurve 5308 - Speed

Having a problem connecting TuT Systems Expresso GS 2.3MB SDSL Line cards to the HP Procurve 5308. Not picking up the cards on Auto, Auto-10, 10Half or 10Full! Have rebooted line cards at every change. Have checked for latest version of software on Procurve, and the Expresso.
The Line cards work o.k when connected to a Procurve 2524 - even at Auto - so cannot understand why there would be a compatibility problem. Any one have some thoughts? Is there an issue with using a Layer 3 switch?

Have you enabled spanning tree?

If so, set the ports to edge ports. It might be that the TuT systems are timing out whilst the switch checks these ports for a loop.


If you set the port speeds at one end, you must match the host end as well.
