I'm a newbie to managed switches and have been given a 2626 to play with. I've succeeded, to some extent, in setting up VLAN(s). However, is it possible to assign various IP ranges to the VLANs without using another box(es) to act as DHCP servers? Ideally I'm hoping the unit can replace the need for multiple hubs, routers and DHCP servers.

Can the 2626 do any of this or do I need a different model?

Thanks

No.

No procurve switch that I am aware of incorporates its own DHCP server. An additional device is required.
