ProcommPlus Forum,

Porting Aspect language to LabView:
-----------------------------------

I want to use National Instruments LabView program and run my ProcommPlus Aspect code under LabView.
Per LabView tech support this will work as long as the code is ported to a Windows DLL file.

Has anyone tried this and have any suggestions taking on such an adventure ??

Thanks, Bill

Just my thoughts, but if you're going to go through the process to port code to a DLL, you might as well port the code to whatever language is native to your application.

I don't know of any utility or process to convert aspect code to a dll, other then manually recreating the code.

But I could be wrong.

I don't think you'll be able to do this. The only way to run a script is inside Procomm. In other words, Procomm must be running for your script to run. What LabView might be saying is that their software could control your script via COM or a similar method, but the only inter-program control that Procomm supports is DDE to pass information between the two applications.
