I run Procomm Plus for all my sites. I am able to log in to all the PBX's except one. I telnet in, choose the site and I get the blue screen and flashing cursor, but I am not able to login or type anything at all. I believe one of my techs logged in and it locked up- how do I get back in??

You might try posting in a forum here (assuming Tek-Tips carries one) specific to your PBX and see if anyone there has any suggestions. Is Procomm configured correctly as best you can tell and did it work at one point?

I have a Nortel 81C, and yes- I have used Procomm for years and haven't had any problems since Thursday. Now I am getting a telnet Winsock Error 10057- but I have no idea where the socket is, that is supposedly not connected.

According to one website I found, that means "A request to send or receive data was disallowed because the socket is not connected and (when sending on a datagram socket) no address was supplied." Doesn't really help though!

Are you able to connect from a different machine or using the built-in telnet program in Windows? I'm wondering if it is a connectivity issue of some sort, but that's just a guess at this point.

Actually- I checked all the connections and I am connecting now, it's just now allowing me to login from any of the computers- through procomm or even just trying to telnet through windows. This is driving me CRAZY!!!!

No, I still can't connect to the PBX. I am trying everything I can think of.
Thanks for all your help!! I appreciate it!

unfortunately, this PBX is at my main hospital. Nortel 81C with Procomm Plus. And no, we no longer have a computer connected to the command port and into the PBX.
I just talked with my Corporate office that believe my Command Prompt is corrupt and is trying to decide how they want me to pursue.

Thank you very much for all your help, I appreciate it!!

FYI I had to direct connect a laptop to J25 on the back of my PBX and do a ld 37 stat tty and enable the tty's that were disabled.

Thanks for all your help!!
