Nothing you probably don't know already, Procomm is discontinued (as of 2002) and Symantec does not support it any more.

There are known glitches with Windows XP (such as trying to convert a directory file) and installation/operation issues on Windows Vista.

I'm wondering what will replace Procomm for single-client serial emulation... if anything.

Thanks for the links. Where did you find the information about Vista? I've seen problems reported here and given workarounds, but didn't see anything on the Symantec site.

I personally experienced installation issues on Vista. I imagine that if there are issues running on Windows XP that there will also be issues running on Vista.

I read that my installation problem is not uncommon and the work around is to explore the disc and find the Procomm setup files instead of trying to run the setup from the AUTORUN function.
