Procomm getfile question

Hello All,

Question: Does the getfile command always create a new file or is there a way to get it to append to an existing file ?

I am doing an ascii file download, perhaps I should use set the capture file name and turn it on and off rather than using getfile so that I can append subsequent downloads to the same file ?

I haven't had a chance to test this, but my hunch says that this depends on the status of the Overwrite existing file checkbox in the ASCII transfer protocol properties in the Setup dialog. You can check this setting by selecting the Options | Data Options | Transfer Protocol menu item in Procomm and selecting the ASCII protocol if necessary. Ideally, the getfile command behave in the manner specified by the checkbox.
