Procomm and Modem

Dear friends,

Option 11 system is equipped with US robotics sportster Voice for remote administration. Do we need to install
US Robotics on the far end OR we may install any serial modem. please advise about your expearance.

Any modem should work, unless you are using some of the modem features which are built into the hardware itself (such as encryption or passwords) (pw was available in Courier modems, maybe not on Sportsters!

I have found that software modems in PC's and laptop's don't work very well, but any hardware modem internal or external should work fine.
