Procomm and linux 1

is anyone using procomm from a linux box.. i am going all linux from the home office and haven't found any info on line to get procomm to work from the linux kernal..

i'm doing a lfs project and would like to include a term emulation that allows aspect.. anyone have a link?

Hi johnpoole.
To run Windows apps on GNU/Linux you need to use something
called Wine to "emulate" an Windows environment on the Linux box.
Basically what it does it translate the Win-app system calls
into the equivalent Linux system calls.
The main site for Wine is at Wine supports quite a few Windows apps, unfortionatly ProComm
is not one of them.
You can check the list of supported apps at:

Linux have lots of good native apps for just about anything,
but I have not been able to find anything similar to ProComm
for Linux. :-(

You can however run Win-98 as an wirtual maschine inside
Linux and have ProComm on it.
It should work, I think. Havven't tested it...
