I am in the process of setting reconfiguring a Legend (R?) for a new client. The system was left by a previous tennant. It has three cabinets with 2 100D modules.

I replaced the original proc. with a R3 V10.0 unit. When starting the programming with WinSPM, it said that the proc. did not recognize the 016 module until it was renumbered (or something to that effect). Unfortunately, with the interuption to my work at the time, I managed to blow the serial port on my laptop before I could input the change necessary to make the module work. When I tried to renumber the boards, the module still is not there.

What am I missing? I can program through the MLX-20L on site. I just need to get the 016 going so that I can setup the voicemail (IS-III).

I am assuming the 016 is a T/R module. I am pretty sure the R3 processor does not recognize the 016 cards. I think you need an R4 or above for this. I will double check for you.

Thanks for the reply.

I will check the original processor to see what R? it was running since the 016 was working with it. Perhaps it had been upgraded. I only replaced it because the system failed to come up completely when I powered it on.
