Hello,

I have a dell laptop 1.4 ghz processor, with w2k pro
According to Dell, my processor is too fast to run dos applications?
Does anyone know a tool to slow down the processor when working in dos?

I don't think I'd agree with Dell - have you actually tried running your Dos programs? If so, what problems have you been having? (There's a feature called 'compatible hardware timer emulation' available from the properties of a dos program in 2K - program tab, advanced button - could try checking that box).

The DOS applications work well on the other desktop 933 mHZ pc running w2k

The problem is not DOS applications in general.
Some applications just wont run correctly on fast PC. The problem is that some loops now perform so fast that they reach the end before being started ...
A known problem are Clipper programs, where a patch is available, you will have to recompile. I think also that some versions of Turbo Pascal had the same problem.

So try your applications, if you get a division by 0 error, than it might be this loop problem.
