I have a system requirement for dual 450s with 1Gig of ram or equivalent. I have a PowerEdge 350 with a single 800. Would a single 800 be equal to dual 450s with 2Ggig of Ram be equivalent?

Thanks

I would think that it would run fine on a single processor of 800 Mhz.
The other way around could be a total different story.

But remember that a lot of software state minimum requirement and a lot of the times minimum is equal to "yes it will run but you can't use it for anything real".

So if you software could have problems on both a dual 450 Mhz and a single 800 Mhz in real life.

By the way remember that you can't realy use Mhz for anything.

An 900 Mhz 2 MB Xeon can still do a lot more real work then a brand new 1,8 Ghz Xeon with 512KB.
