Processing speed improvement in 7.4 Transformer

Having upgraded our install to 7.4 from 7.3MR3 last week, I've noticed a massive improvement in Transformer build times for models with detailed levels (10K+). This is due to a great reduction in the Metadata update times. Does anyone know whether this is improved Cognos coding or improved Progress coding (ObjectStore)?
