Processes Released From Memory

I have a Foxpro COM object that releases from Memory on an my development machine which is Windows XP-Pro. However, the production server which is 2000 releases the processes sporadically, sometimes building up 20-30 processes (I have even seen over a hundred build up).

Does anyone know if there are differences that would cause this in 2000 vs. XPP and is there a fix or work around?
