process sync using semaphores

hi,
i need a little help in synchroinsing processes using semaphores. i need to create directories into which each semaphore will create its own files. ie a directory for each semaphore. these processe should have a menu which will consist of create file modify and sleep ie to switch to next process. can some one please help me
