Hello,
Using sysinternals tcpview I terminated (by accident) a
process called svchost.exe:448. There were 2 incidents
of 448(I think this # is not always 448)one was protocol TCP and the other UDP. both
running the same process svchost.exe. Under local address
for each of these processes it says faoserverb:epmap for
both processes. Faoserverb is my server.
My remote storage is screwed and cannot do any tape backup
or see the properties of any services to stop/start etc.
Since RSM comes with 2000 these processes start on their own in order for Removable Storage to work. Right now
it has a red x beside it.
Is there a way to get these 2 processes back on the fly
without having to reboot so I can get Removable Storage
back and run tape backups?
Your help would be greatly appreciated!!!!
Thanks,
Bill
