Hi,

I'm running a NT 4.0 Server (sp5) and about once a week a process (pfab.exe) that is running on it takes about 99% of my cpu, this cause the server to hang and then nobody is able to connect to the domain.

I don't know what this process does dans i cannot kill it (permission deny).

So if anyone could help me to get this process off or else just tell me what it does.

I would say go to Systernals and download there program HandleEx, this lets you see what is happening within a process and the sub-handles running within it. With this information you will be able to see if it really is the process or a sub-handle hanging that is causing the issue making it easier to troubleshoot.
