The black toner was low on my Phaser 780 so I replaced it. It looked a little dirty in there (after I took the old toner tube out) so I blew it out with some compressed air. I put in a brand new black toner. Next thing I know, my printer reads:

Process Motor Failure
Printer Error 61

I tried the old toner tube again, cleaned it some more and still nothing. I do not know what to do next.

Please help,
Tony

Chances are that by blowing air into the printer you blew toner back into the rear where various sensor and also the process motor are located. The toner can cause motors to bind but I think all you did was dirty up a sensor which is creating the error. The best bet is to remove the rear cover and clean the system with a vacuum, also inside the imaging unit cavity. The process drive assy is what rotates the accumulator belt and with any luck it will not have to be replaced.
