I've searched, and can't find this topic, so thought I would ask. We have just added our 75th site with a LSP, and our MIDs are all over the place, with no pattern, and it's always a battle to get the next number.

I would like to change the MIDs so they match the IP-Network-region, which would match the Location number and several other key identifiers. Are there any steps missing in my plan, or any gotchas? I assume this is not service affecting if the LSP is not active.

1. In CM 6.3, change survivable-processor XXXXXXXX Cluster ID/MID to be "24"

2. In the WebLM of the LSP>Server Maintenance>Server Roll- change MID to match "24"

3. Reboot LSP

4. Once reboot finished, Save Trans All in CM 6.3.

Is it really this simple???

Thank you for any and all thoughts. [bigears]

I believe that's the only places. You should only have to restart CM and not the whole LSP.
