Step 1) Attend 13 Days Technical Training Course.
Step 2) Using SAM and ALEX Follow upgrading Section in basic exchange.

This document has been designed to provide an experienced technician with the information necessary to complete an upgrade from any earlier software revision level to R8 (BC11).
This document includes all the tasks necessary to upgrade an ASB 501 04 system from any earlier release to R8 (BC11) by using a prepared reload directory. This requires taking down the target system for a short period of time. With the system down, changing the firmware and hardware can be accomplished quickly and efficiently. The prepared reload directory is then connected, loaded on to the new system so that call processing is achieved in a relatively short time and with minimal disturbance for the customer.
