Hi,
When people leave the company we are required to disable the users AD account but keep the exchange mailbox for a certain period of time (this varies depending on the individual).
With Exchange 2003 is it possible to detach the mailbox from the disabled user and give access to another user? Bearing in mind this user will be mailbox enabled already?
We currently keep the mailbox attached to the user but when this account is disabled this gives us issues such as the 1022 and 9548 events.
Does anyone have a standard method of disabling accounts but enabling mailboxes to be retained and accessed by other users?
Thanks
Lee
