procedure for cme install

If I have downloaded both the ios for the router- .bin and the CME S/W which is a .zip file. I`m led to believe that I can use copy commend copy tftp.... for the IOS but with the .zip do I have to unzip the file whci shows all teh files as tar and then xtract each file to the router- can someone explain the steps for both the ios and the cme sw/
