probs using squid

If someone can help me it will be very appreciate. I use squid/2.5.STABLE7 on FreeBSD 5.2.1 and i work fine. In fact i have 2 problem, the first is that, I have try many things and i'm not able to put in cache files more than 100MB. There my real problem:when proxy is downloading a file it don't respond at others requests. Anybody had an idea??
