The problem is:

The new user can’t login during the working system. When I try to write “login” system suspended. The root message was:

“unable to write terminal control database for line ttyp…, can’t find terminal control database for line ttyp…”

The system maked a copy of file /etc/auth/system named ttys-t.

This situation takes place while several unsuccessful login from any terminals. After occurring this mistake I can’t login from console (terminals: tty02. 03 etc.).

Root can work on tty01. When I start a command /etc/tcbck everything return to normal.

(The system removes the file /etc/auth/ttys-t, the right ttys remains), but I shutdown the system – just in case.

My question is : What is the right solution of this problem?

The next problem is:
The commands “w” and “who” shows different communiqué then the command “finger”. The command “finger” shows 12 logged users , however “w” and “who” shows only 2 logged users,. The command “last” shows 12 users with the comment “logged-in”, however the command “w” and “who” shows 2 users.

What is the reason of this problem?

The next problem is:

cpqssd [557] “Get_EV failed= -1………exiting

Preceding message is : cpqssd [557] Starting up.

The next problem is:
lockd [542] Unable to kill UDP Server 362: errno no such process.

The terminal is locked due to unsuccessful logins. You can unlock it by /etc/ttyunlock or in scoadmin->System->Terminal Manager.

You may want to increase the number of allowed unsuccesful logins if this problem is frequent. You may have a user who is leaving a book on their keyboard ...
