Hi
We have a problem concerning windows 2000 status messages. By that I mean the messages at startup and shutdown displaying what action is performed (eg. running shutdownscript, preparing network connections and so on).
The messages have disappered - that means that the computer just displays the windows background screen through the process of shutting down - so there's no information on what the computer does during the shutdown phase...!
I've found out that if the registry value:
HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\System\disableStatusMessages = 1 then the status messages doesn't appear...
My problem is still:
This registry value doesn't appear but I still don't have the status messages...!
Any help on this one would be greatly appreciated...
Kind regards
Siv
