Problems with VPN tunnel

Hello,

I have a VPN L2L configured and it works great. The second site need to replace their router and change their peer address. We did a test, the VPN work but only if site one ping to side two to initialize the connection. Any idea why?, it was not need before. Does any one has an idea why only side 1 can initialize the tunnel?
