I have a customer with 2 Merlin Magix who share an Intuity. I recently added a two boards to allow for expansion. In slot 4, I removed a 408 MLX and added an 016 MLX, which moved 813-816 to the next board with trunks, which is the T1 for the point to point. I have renumbered the trunks and corrected the changes in the PRI programming, but have one lingering issue.

During the day, calls to the remote site go across the T1 just fine. When the operator pushes the night service button, they immediately ring back to her console. I played with night service; putting the ptp trunks in and taking them out, neither of which makes a difference. I compared the new setup with a printout of the way it was before and don't see anything else off. Any suggestions?

Did you put the board in and have the trunks renumber before you tore down the PRI or after you tore down the PRI.

Sometimes you have to tear down the PRI and have the card built as nothing in particular then insert the card. Sometimes the b channels get stuck and you have to reinsert the original hardware, tear down the trunks first then insert the card then build the PRI.

Jack - you were right on the money. I was so busy moving trunks and worrying about the point to point programming that I didn't realize when I renumbered the analog ports it put the voice mail ports into a restricted state. Forgot about that little trick the Magix adds...
