Hi there, I am new to Flash and just getting into the finer points of Animation. I have come across a problem animating as follows:

I am recreating the start trailer that is at the beginning of the James bond films, where you see the “gun barrel” as it is known. My problem starts with getting the blood to run down the screen. I can animate a rectangle off the stage which then streaches down to the stage no problems, but the blood is actually a selection of curves (runny blood). I am having problems getting the effect to work with a changing “curvy” line at the bottom.
I get a dotted line for the Tween, no matter what I do. Can anybody give me a pointer to get this very important animation working. Everything else is working fine :)
Hi there I read ur problem in the forum and liked ur idea . the main concept in the shape tweening is that the object should be break apart, so if ur object is first moving (motion tween) the frame at which u want to start it to morph(Shape tween) u should first create two keyframes one is teh ending poing of that object and the other is the starting point of shape tweening but u should know that in motion tween the object must be grouped and in shape tween the object should be break apart.Hope that ur problem is solved now.

Not an answer, but a nice extra effect tip...

Another little trick that you may want to try, is to get the blood looking a little 3D. You can do this by obviously filling the second keyframe, that nabeel was talking about, with a gradient fill to create the dark and light highlights.

When you create your far keyframe that you are morphing TO, select the fill tool, then the button to the right of the fill lock button on the left. If you now click your morphed image, you can rotate, squash and manipulate the shading so that it looks more realistic. This will tween smoothly with the shape that you have created.
