I have used Adobe Illistrator to export a gif file into a tif. I tried using 300 dpi and putting the tif into pagemaker. The image was blurry. I then tried 1200 dpi, which is what I have read in other threads here, and pagemaker keeps giving me an error message, then shuts down. Any ideas on what I could do now would be greatly appreciated.

Why GIF to TIF? Just use the original GIF. It is not ideal to use GIFs in printed page layout but it should be better than a rough conversion done by Illustrator.

The image is blurry because you tinkered with its resolution - - just keep it as it is if you are stuck with a GIF as your source image. PageMaker also displays images in low resolution. These images will print in the full resolution of the source image.

jimoblak,
When I put the gif in it printed badly, so I converted it into the tif and it looked a lot better when it printed and pdf. I was just wondering if there was anyway to see the tif in pagemaker as it looked in illustrator.
thanks

File>Preferences>General, set resolution to High Be warned, however, that this will significantly slow screen redraw. Most pros leave the res set at lower resolution. When in doubt, deny all terms and defnitions.
