Problems with the PPPD daemon

Im using Linux Mandrake 6.0. with kde. When I tried to connect to the net using kpp the system displays the following message: The pppd died unexpectedly. When I checked the log it says that my ISP doesn't recognize my configuration. My ISP use Windows NT and PAP protocol<br>
How I can fix this problem?
 
Are you sure you've setup all the options in kppp? Who's your ISP? Some ISPs need the PPP config at the user's end (ie, yours) massaging a little.<br>

I remember seeing a recent post in this forum that had *lots* of ppp configuration info. Have a dig around for it.<br>
