I'm having problems with temporary files generated by fox pro 2.5a. Sometimes it creates the temporary file but after some minutes the system doesn't respond and still creating a big temporary file until you reset the computer.
If somebody could help me I'd be thankful.

How big are the files that you are dealing with?

What type of machine are you using? What operating system?

(We have had the same type of problems. There are ways around, depending on the above questions (and answers)).
The files are about 1.5 GB and still growing until you turn off the computer.
The workstation is a 586 Cyrix Mhz with 4 MB RAM and HD 650 MB. The workstation that has had the problem uses DOS 6.22 operating system.
We use Novell 4.12 on the server and DOS 6.22 on some workstations.
The problem never occurs all the time.

Thank you for the help.

What are the file extensions of these temp files. DBF, TMP, VUE ??
David W. Grewe
Dave@internationalbid.net

Probably you have used a 'Select SQL' command which keeps on adding records to a temporary file.

Check out the SQL that you are using.
