I have the ODBC service configured as a System DSN and can connect to it OK from Crystal Reports.

I have also created a Universe Connection in Designer against the same System DSN.

In the TABLE BROWSER in Designer I can see the database, but there is NO plus-sign for drill-down next to the "dbo".

There is a plus-sign for drill-down next to the "INFORMATION_SCHEMA" and I can add those tables to my Universe.

What do I need to do to access the "dbo" tables within Designer...?

Thanks in Advance.

Are you using the right ID/pwd in the Designer connection. When I've seen this problem it's because the Designer connection (not the ODBC DSN) is using an ID that doesn't ahve rights to the tables.

I fixed it by using a GENERIC ODBC rather than the MS-SQL in the Data Connection.

Not sure why that fixed it - but it did...

Thanks Steve!
