I've just upgraded from CS1 to CS2 w/in the last week, and I'm discovering a problem - sometimes I can't use my selection tool for its "extra" functions, such as scaling items or rotating them. When this happens, the selection tool doesn't turn into its rotate or scale icon when it should (ie, on a handle or outside of it), and this occurs maybe 2-4 times/day. To get this working again, I have to shut down the program and start again. Does anyone know how to fix this? It's starting to get a little annoying...

Did you disable all antivirus software when installing. Ill hates to be installed with any antivirus running.
Also, it's usually a good idea to trash Ill preferences before installing. Adobe "upgrades" are usually the full program, that replaces the old one. In many cases the prefs file does not get updated during the install.
Lastly, you might try opening preferences/general and checking Precise cursors and see if that helps.
