Problems with SCSI

installing slackware 10.2

so the problem,
i put in disk, its start up, in boot i write adaptec.s, to let it load correct drivers (adaptec aic7xxx),how i see in boot process it finds my scsi, but when boot is complited i cant do enything, because only drive that setup sees is CD-ROM therefore cfdisk and fdisk dont work, how to get to SCSI? How to install on them? What i do wrong? What i must do?

I have not installed Slackware, but I had a similar problem with the Adaptec with Red Hat Linux WS 4. There was a problem with Grub failing and that does not show up in the main installation window where everything looked fine, but does show up in another of the Linux consoles (I think it was #2). I had to drop my installation back to Red Hat WS 3. So maybe an earlier version of Slackware would work for you?
