Problems with saving changes to roaming profiles

We use W2K Server and W2k Pro on clients. We seem to have a problem with saving changes to the roaming profiles. If you delete files or change them or delete desktop short cuts and so on when you log on the next day they reappear! This even happens on my profile and I am set up as an administrator. Does anyone have any suggestions on what the problem is, other than telling me how bad roaming profiles are! Thanx

1. In Group Policy, are you clearing the locally chached copies of the profiles on logoff?

I'm having this problem as well. I have set to clear locally cached copies on my desktop. How ever I have a notebook that I use on and off the network. How can I fix this problem on my notebook?
