Hello,

I want to use RaptorMobile 6.5.3 to connect to my company's network. When connecting over ISDN everything works fine. When I use DSL it doesn't work. RaptorMobile connects to the firewall and downloads the tunnels but I can't ping any computer behind the firewall.

I have Windows 2000 Professional and my computer is directly connected to the DSL-Modem. I use RASPPPoE for the dialin. The raptor mobile driver is bound to the network card and the dialin connection. I already changed the MTU settings to a lower value but it still doesn't work.

Thanks in advance for your help

What did you change your MTU size to? Also, on the firewall at your network, when they setup your user account, did they set it up that you can ping the local network? I assume when you ping, you are pinging an IP address. Have you tried to ping a name to see if the name is being resolved? If the name is being resolved but not able to ping then at least you know that you are connected.

Hope this helps.

I have the same problem myself. I have an ADSL router with a tunnel coming from my laptop. Tunnel connects OK but cannot ping some things. If I add hosts to my hosts file they ping although RPC and other useful ports don't work, even though we think we have all services going through the tunnel.

I will keep working on it.

I was also having a problem with DSL. I had users that could connect but could not download EMail. Finally went up on the web and downloaded a program called DrTCP. All it does is set the registry settings for MTU. I went in and set the MTU = 1472 and let it do BlackHole router (I think this what it was called) discovery to yes.

After that had no problem with DSL.

Hopefully this helps.

I also had a similar problem. Our Telco changed their dialconnect system and it threw us off. We also downloaded DR TCP and set our MTU to 1472. This is because some of your network devices could not autonegotiate an MTU with the other side. DR TCP sorts the packets into any size you like. Instead of buying newer equiptment DR TCP aint bad.
