Problems with PWS/IIS

Hey everyone,

I have been running IIS under windows 2000 successfully for quite a while. After a recent shift to a newly formatted HD with a fresh install of Win2k I just can't get IIS/PWS to run - makes it hard to test ASP.

When I try to open PWS there is some disk activity and an hourglass cursor but I don't get the control window.

Going into IIS I get an error something like "(machine name) cannot be found".

I can't create my virtual directories and just can't get into the bloody thing.

I have removed and reinstalled IIS twice with no success.

Any ideas before I move to Apache/Chili!soft?
