Problems with profile

Normally when I sign on to a computer on the network, I just add my userID plus my password and domain and then any win 2000 computer lets me have access to the computer and network. This computer does not allow me, saying does not find my profile and cannot load me. When signing in as administrator and adding me manually i succeed, but not the same way as the other machines. I am suspecting the security, but where do I rectify the problem? Any help and suggestions will be appreciated.

Check that the Computer is listed in ADUC on the DC.
