Problems with Paging Route

I am currently working on an Option 81C. Some contractors recently installed a Bogen multi-zone amp for the Print Shop area. I responded by building a PAGE route, and trunk for this application. My route 79 has an ACOD of 1979. When I dial this off of Digital phone, I receive the response tone from the Bogen. I am now supposed to dial a zone code, (00=all zone, 01=zone 1, etc.). When I dial "00", the display doesn't register those digits, and the Bogen never acknowledges the zone code. When I dial the ACOD and zone code from a 500 set, it goes through. I also logged into the Maintenance Set, LD 36, TRK 20 0 1 7 (TN for PAG trunk), at DN? I enter 00, and it goes through as well. Any insight would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!!

You need to check your dtmf signalling. I have it turned on on the PBX so that I can give DTMF when calling out to pagers. Some people turn it off. You don't normally need it, but the system might be looking for an audible DTMF tone to send the paging request. Check this first.

Thanks janaya for the prompt response! I made that change in the CDB, FTR Gateway, but it did not change the result.

Here is what I use that works. You need to make it a WAT for the trunk route data block.

Thank you for the response jjmcc2! I just printed that, and will attempt to implement it this morning.

Hey, jjmcc2, that works!!! It went off without a hitch. I had this built before as a WAT route and trunk, but could not get the Zone Code to accept, (PBX kept spitting out ERR 404 errors). I'm now trying to find out what was different. Thank you very much for everyone's help on this issue!!
