Problems with Paging on restricted phones (CLS=CTD)

I have been experiencing some problems with paging on our Nortel Meridian system. When I build or copy a new phone that is unrestricted (CLS=UNR) the phone will page with no problem. However, as soon as I restrict that phone from making outside calls (CLS=CTD) I no longer have the ability to page. I've tired changing the value of TGAR, to no avail. Any advice on this would be greatly appreciated!

I think the CTD setting is affected by the NCOS for that set as well. Play around with the NCOS settings until you find one that allows internal paging while maintaining the necessary outbound service denial.

The other thing you might check is the ncos of the pageing route

just want to let everyone know that I figured out the problem (with a lot of help) with the phone and why it couldnt page. In LD 11 I looked at the NCOS, it was set to 3 so I changed it to 15 and ALSO changed the CLS=CTD to CLS=UNR and schazam, it worked!

The paging wouldnt work when the CLS=CTD, thats why I changed it to UNR. NCOS setting of 15 seemed to deny outside dialing access. I think my logic is correct but if I am wrong feel free to correct me.

I would also like to give mad props to faial and phone dude, they are the ones who led me to the light!!! Thanks a million, you've made me (and my boss) very happy!!!
