I have
MB QDI Advance 10T-A
SVGA nVidia TNT2 M64 32MB
WIN 98SE
DirectX 8.1

and I have troubles with windows titlebar commands (minimize, restore and close) cause sometime after working with some Office or multimedia aplications I see that those buttons change their look to some unrecognized pics...
Please, tell me what to do?

can I install the newest Detonanor XP drivers (is it compactible with my card?) ?

Yes, Nvidia driver 28.32 will work great with that card. I don't think that's your problem. You may just be in "full screen" mode. Is the maximize/minimize buttons surrounded in black? If so, click the middle restore button and that should take you out of full screen mode. This mode can be achieved by clicking on view and "full screen". And can be easily reversed by clicking the restore button. I would download and install that driver anyway. "A little knowledge is a dangerous thing....." [morning]

Hi nobrain,

thanks for suggestions but I know what "full screen mode" means and it is not my problem...I will surely install that drivers...
I told u, buttons are not visible like originals (Mimimize like - or Close like x)... no, instead of it there is some unrecognized pisc (pixels in variuos colors) and it is problem on every widow I open (everything else is OK in the window). Now, regarding that there is problem with every check place (u know, if u wanna turn off computer u see dialog box with places for check marks...so, I can't see those places, I only see some blur pixels...)
or instead of signs for menus spreading out (>) I see that too (ex. Start-Programs and u have the sign for spreding that menu at the riht... so, I can't see it like I do when I,lets say, restart windows...

Sorry, but my English is not very good for explanations...

If u have some suggestions, please answer me, I am waiting...

Thank you...

I get exactly the same problem as Selt. The minimise, maximise and close buttons become unrecognisable graphics characters. I have a 3DPower nVidia RIVA TNT2 M64. W98SE, DirectX 8.1. All the following versions of the drivers have experienced this problem: 21.81, 21.85, 28.32. I have to go back to 05.32 to back out the error. It's such a bizarre problem, I thought I was the only one experiencing it.

I have an nVidia Riva TNT2 64MB and I cannot get Medal of Honor to work on it. Everytime I try to open it, I get only a gray screen. I'm pretty sure it's a problem with the driver. I can't seem to find a driver that supports directx 8.1. Does anyone have any suggestions?

I have a TNT2 M64 32MB and I have to unplug my usb dsl modem and turnoff my onboard 5.1 suround sound card just to make it work right i have the latest drivers and it still doesnt work right.

Is this a PCI or AGP card? If it's PCI try it in a different slot. You may have an IRQ conflict. "A little knowledge is a dangerous thing....." [morning]

i tryed my card in different pci slots its made no difference at all i am on cable now so i dont have the dsl modem problem any more i just cant use my sound card with it.

Have you re-installed your sound card drivers? Is there a yellow exclamation mark on anything in device manager? (Conflict) "A little knowledge is a dangerous thing....." [morning]

I have this Riva TNT2 M64 32MB AGP. The latests drivers don´t appear to support directx 8.1, and i have TOO MANY inestability when playing recent games.
Anybody can tell me some steps to follow?

Some advice to follow on your gaming/video problems:

(1) Set your resolution to 640x480 - can you see/play your games now? If so, bump it up to 800x600, does it work? Continue on to 1024x768, still work? If no to any of these questions, make sure you have the proper monitor and video card drivers installed.

(2) Move the card to a different slot if PCI, if AGP, check the BIOS - some of these cards do not function at 4x, take it down 2x

(3) Check the web for specific troubleshooting guides, much like this web site.

(4) Go to the game manfuacturer's web site and look for any known issues...you maybe suprised

(5) Can you get another card? You may just have bad hardware? Is your machine capable of supporting the card?

I am trying to fit a TNT2 M64 32Mb PCI card. It works OK if I load generic VGA or SVGA drivers, but I cannot load the Nvidia drivers. When the computer reboots I'm told that there is a problem and I get the dreaded exclamation mark in device manager.
I've tried loading the drivers that came with the card and with drivers off the inno3d web site but no joy.
When I boot the computer, I have noticed that in the list of IRQ allocations, the display driver has "NA" under IRQ - is this significant?

Try it in a different PCI slot. "A little knowledge is a dangerous thing....." [morning]
