Good Day Gents!!

I am working on a STS Vodavi 3500 system. I have replaced the battery and I am still having trouble getting in program mode. Can someone help me with this? The KSU turns on and the phone display read LKD-24BD V0.3 Scout-DX V1.1 OK SYNC..I have a V70 Basic SL1B Card, V70 DT1B, MODU, V70 LCOB and a AWK LYR 550204 cards in the KSU. Looking for advice...

It looks like I was able to set it back to default, the phone display is showing LKD-24BD V0.3 00/00 '00V1.1 OK SYNC I hope this helps. Thanks again up front for any advice given to my cluster!!

Power off, DIP 8 off, Power on, wait 1 min, DIP 8 on
Put phone on base KSU - see if display is good. Expansion cards won't work until assigned in software.

Thanks,

I have walk through the steps of logging in and had no luck. I feel I am missing a step here. None of the Keys will respond when I try to do so. After resetting the KSU,I had a different message come up on the display and it read;
LKD-24BD V0.0
00/00 '00V1.1 OK SYNC..
Hope this helps on trouble-shooting.. Thanks again for the advice..

If you get that display with all cards out and phone on base KSU, then you have a bigger problem. If this used to work and now doesn't, KSU is likely bad. If it never worked and you're trying to put it together for the first time, then it is likely a mismatch between KSU and phones. Vodavi had lots of products that looked the same, but used different phones.

I am getting that display with all cards in, should I have taken all cards out and then reset the system? And to be clear, when you mention base phone on the KSU that is the #10/100 location? I believe that's what your talking about but I don't want to assume that. I have not tried resetting the system yet without the cards in their slots. Note; I have five cards!

Cards slots are not assigned in default. Yes, power off, remove all cards, connect phone to first digital port, power on, see what happens. Please understand that my goal is to provide you with some viable hints, not to walk you thru the total process of recovery. Be sure that you're being realistic - even if you get the phone to work, can you reconfigure the system enough to be satisfied? If not, find a local pro to resolve this - likely within an hour.

Mforrence,

I took all cards out and ran through all the steps metioned above. It seems that **3226 is not allowing me to go into program mode. I have working on contacting a local tech that may be able to help me out and showing me what I am missing here. Thanks for the infomation you gave me.

Were you able to get a "normal" display on phone when connected to the base cabinet? X100 is the default station for programming, with others allowed if enabled. If you have successfully defaulted the software, connect to X100 and give it a try. Or just find someone who does this regularly.

FYI:I was able to speak with a local Tech over the phone and he gave me something close to the same advice you did.
1.) Turn Off
2.) move Dip switch #8 to ON
3.) Turn power back on
4.) move Dip switch #8 to OFF
5.) Push the reset button next the the battery On/Off switch
This should take it back to basic program. This is reversed prcess of what you gave me.
I have tried it both ways and had no luck.I am going to reseach another tech for support.
I also tried this process with the Basic card in its slot to see if it would make a differents, had no Luck.
When I find the answer to this I hope to share it with the world so if this problem ever happens to them, they have the fix....
