Hi

We have recently migrated all our users from one NT Domain to another. This has an impact on BOE (XI r2) and I now need to effectively make changes here accordingly with minimal impact.
In the past any changes to user groups was disasterous in BOE (XI r2) so I have set up a test area where I can test the theory before I roll it out into the live area. I used the Import Wizard to migrate contents from the production env to the test env.

The old user group was "NTDOMAIN\CRYSTAL NT USERS" and the new group is "LUK\CRYSTAL NT USERS" and most users from the former now also resides in the latter.

In CMC > Authentication > Mapped NT Member Groups, there are now 3 user groups:
secWindowsNT:\\SERVER\BUSINESS OBJECTS NT USERS...default local user group
secWindowsNT:LUK\CRYSTAL NT USERS...new NT user group
secWindowsNT:NTDOMAIN\CRYSTAL NT USERS...existing NT user group

Logic seems to dictate that if users exist in both "NTDOMAIN\CRYSTAL NT USERS" and "LUK\CRYSTAL NT USERS" the old/ existing group can simply be removed from the Mapped NT Member Groups area...it does not work, as I cannot log into the system any longer expect as Administrator which uses Enterprise authentication. I can however see the user list in the user area, but when I click on a user name I get the following error - ""

Changes in mapped user groups, as stated earlier in this thread, have always provided me with big headaches, can someone provide guidance in this respect.

I forgot to copy the error message: "There was an error while retrieving data from the server: NT Authentication failed to get the NT groups for the account with ID "LUK\EOO". Please make sure this account is valid and belongs to an accessible domain."
