Problems with MDAC 2.5 ?

We have 2 web servers, both identical except one has MDAC 2.1 SP2 installed and the other has MDAC 2.5.
The problem is that when I run one particular ASP page with an SQL statement that runs against our Sybase database the server running version 2.5 crashes but the one running 2.1 does not.
It does not affect all SQL statements, just one particular one. The ASP page is identical in every way, any ideas anyone ?
