I am currently testing out McAfee epolicy orchestrator on a couple of systems. I am using my system with epolicy orchestrator to practice pushing software to my practice system. Things were going pretty good and all of a sudden some strange things:

1. I did a 'Send Agent Install' to my practice system and it loaded fine. When I try to schedule a task I get this error. 'Please deploy an agent to this computer before scheduling a task.'.....?????

2. In the 'Server Event Viewer' I have alot of errors that say 'Push agent installation program to (computername) failed.'.......??????

Any advice would be greatly appeciated. Thanks.

Before creating a task for a machine, make sure the icon has a "plug" behind it to indicate it's ready for management. That's about the only thing I can see what's wrong.

On the "push agent ..." problem, make sure that you are on a domain AND the account used to start the ePO services has DOMAIN ADMIN rights. Otherwise, this will not work. You might have seen the dialog boxes during the installation telling you whether you can push the agent or not.

It ended up being a problem with our server. Thanks for the advice. I really appreciate it.
