Hi,

I have found a couple of examples on the web on how to check if a computer is connected to Internet or not. These examples use the API function InternetGetConnectedState. When I compile and run them on my computer, the following message is returned:
"Run-time error '453': Can't find entry point InternetGetConnectedStateExA in wininet.dll"
Do you have any idea what is wrong with my wininet.dll? (I am using Windows 95 and Visual Basic 5).

Would appreciate it if anyone could help. Thanks.
                       Vio
I had that problem if I did not type in the name of the function EXACTLY as it appeared in the Declare statement - which means there is some case sensitivity I guess.

gvt:

This function was added recently to the WinInet.dll. I think it appeared in MSIE 4.01, but I'm not sure. In any case, you are not guaranteed for this function to be available on every version of Windows and Internet Explorer.

Chip H.
