HI,

I'm having a problem with my incoming dial up connection. I work for a small company and I have set up a Windows 2000 domain with AD and RRAS. I have one modem on a Windows 2000 server.

I have set up RRAS to allow incoming connections and have granted dial in permissions for those who need it. Here's where I'm having problems.

When I call in directly (either locally or long distance i.e. 555-5555 or 1-555-555-5555) the connection works. But if I try to use a calling card or services such as OneSuite or Big Zoo the modem fails to pick up the connection (I can hear the incoming call and after several momeents of retrys the connection times out).

I even went as far as getting a 1 800 number. Still again, when using this number the conncetion does not hand shake.
But when I call in using the local number it works.

Has anyone run into this before? And if so how can I get the 1 800 number to recognize the computer dialing in?

Thanks in advance

Mike

i believe there is a tab related to dial-up, you can look and check if have any options cheked that restrics those calls to be made only from certain numbers.. A+, MCP, CCNA

Thanks for responding.

In the remote access policy I do not have any restrictions set for phone numbers or media.

Any other ideas?
