Problems with hard links and incremental backups

I have Networker 6.0. My problem is the following one. I have programmed incremental backups, and everything goes right until the networker finds a new hard-link; networker save not only the name of the link but the huge amount of information pointed by the link, and the night isn't time enough to save it. Is there any way to save only the name of the link? (or maybe a way to do the link without modificate the date of the pointed directory) Thanks

The only thing I can think of would be to start using soft links instead of hard links.

I don't believe Networker has any method of determining that two files in different places in a filesystem have the same inode (which is what a hard link is).

The problem is that i need them being hard links (this is a migration, at the end of the migration, near september, we'll delete the original files) Thanks for your help
