Have an application and want to add a forms or reports that graph certain aspects of the data, and I can't make anything work. I have used both form and reports with the same result. Want to create a simple graph that displays sum of transactions by date for one week worth of data. I insert the chart into a form, select the fields to be used, select a bar chart, then make sure the x and y axis are correct and check the box that gives the date range. The preview seem to looks OK, but when I hit finish I get a graph with three groups of four bars that on the x axis are labeled East West and North.

I have tried this with other queries and tables and always get the same result.

Stumped

Thanks in advance

If you want to see your own data in the design view, you must copy the datasheet view of your data and paste it into the datasheet view in the chart design view.

Thanks for the response, but I didn't understand. Found that my error was that I need to use chart view when creating the form or report.

Thanks again
