I've accessed the Goldmine version 6 file OpMgr.dbf in Crystal Reports version 9 to Generate a report on Goldmine projects. This has resulted in some problems which I have described below. It seems that some of the fields in this file contain conflicting data.
The status field in OpMgr.dbf is supposed to store the status of a project which is listed in the upper part of Goldmine's Project Manager. However, data from other areas of a Goldmine Project are listed there.
The description under the field "Role" in the Contact tab of Goldmine's Project Manager is listed under the field STATUS in OpMgr.dbf. Therefore when I run the report in Crystal, I get the role of a contact printed under STATUS in addition to the actual project status.
A similar issue is the "Status" field in the Task tab of Goldmine's Project Manager, which is listed under the STATUS field in OpMgr.dbf. The status of the task is different than the status of the project.
The User field under in the Task tab of Project Manager and the description under Manager at the top of the Project Manager seem to be both listed under the field USERID in OpMgr.dbf.
I would appreciate some suggestions on how to resolve these issues. I don't know how to approach this since multiple field entries are associated with one field name in Crystal Reports.
Thanks.
