I am having a heck of a time getting a new fibre attached Quantum Superloader 3 - S4 SDLT autoloader connected and working properly. The device is currently attached directly to the HBA (Emulex LP1150E) in a HP Proliant Server. I can get Arcserve to write to the drive, but can not get the device configuration utility to setup the library as I would expect on SCSI attached superloader. It does not show the drive as a "child" of the library, but rather shows it as a seperate device. Has anyone had any experience setting these up via a fibre HBA?

I know the fibre connectivity is there since I can write to the drive.

Fibre or SCSI it works the same.

Chances are there is some kind of message displayed that will provide some clue as to why it is happening, because as is all that I can recommend is to open an issue with CA support.
